This mountain is ideal for those who have never skied before or who want to renew their skills before tackling the larger, steeper slopes of Baldy Mountain.
This gently sloping mountain has enough diversity with ten runs that once you get your "snow legs" you will have a wide choice of descends down the mountain. Treeless terrain and instructors specializing in making the first steps on skis or snowboards a breeze, combine to assure the beginner of a fun experience.

Located just a short walk south of the Sun Valley Lodge, Dollar Mountain offers those who have never skied before a chance to experience and learn the sport on an intimate, friendly slope.

Dollar Mountain also has a day lodge, which offers treats and eats at its cafeteria-style restaurant. The lodge is also the location of the Sun Valley Ski and Snowboard School. With nearly 200 experienced ski and snowboard instructors, this is the place to learn or improve your alpine skiing, snowboarding or ski racing skills.
